Bengaluru FC and Sporting Clube de Goa settled for a goaless draw to pick up a point each in the Airtel I-League football tournament here Saturday.
It was a disappointing deadlock for both teams who played at an appreciable pace but could not match it with a finish and after blowing some scoring chances the draw was inevitable.
The result took both teams to 15 points from four wins and three draws to occupy the third slot behind Salgaocar FC (18) and Pune FC (17).
The teams shared honours in the first half with both missing a few good scoring opportunities. A few pot shots kept the two goalkeepers busy, but otherwise, the finish left a lot to be desired.
The close marking of rival players led to a few physical skirmishes but wiser counsel prevailed and two yellow cards Pratesh Shirodkar and Matthews Gonsaleves helped to restore some calm.
