Hollywood director Paul Feig, who is awaiting the release of "Ghostbusters", says he is an "action junky" and loves to up the fun quotient with each of his project.
Feig, known for films like "Bridesmaids" and "Spy", noted that he has tried to interweave action with an element of fun in "Ghostbusters" as well.
"One of the main things I wanted to do with this movie, besides making it funny and having an amazing cast, was to really have fun with the action and with the scope and with the special effects, because, you know, it is 32 years after the original movie and I wanted to reboot this for a new generation," Feig said here.
Feig said so at a press event organised by Sony Pictures Entertainment here.
He added: "I am just an action junky. I love action. And, you know, when we did 'Spy' a couple years ago, it was so much fun to do that level of stunts. And I thought this would be fun to bring that level of stunts to 'Ghostbusters' because for a modern age."
He is bringing back the story of the famous 1984 eponymous American supernatural horror comedy on the silver screen with a twist. Besides infusing advanced technology in the film, Feig has replaced the male protagonists with female cast, roping in stars like Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.
The film, which also features Chris Hemsworth, will be hitting screens in India on July 29.
