Actor Peter Dinklage, who grabbed an Emmy Award for his role as Tyrion Lannister in "Game Of Thrones" last year, says the series has given him a chance to showcase his talent and pursue his love for the art without worrying about being typecast as a dwarf in fantasy series.

"'Game of Thrones' is more reality based than fantasy. Maybe I'm biased because sometimes I see people of my size- how they are represented in fantasies - it is always very comical.

"I feel like as if there is some code book that they have to follow when they're shooting a fantasy, but with our show, that line is very unclear," Dinklage said in a statement.

In a statement made to HBO, Dinklage spoke about the stereotyping of dwarves in other fantasy tales and how they're often limited to playing non-human roles or providing comic relief.

The series took the world by storm, and all the seasons (season one to five) will beam in India on Star World starting February 15.

Dinklage found a way to connect with the audience amid all the blood and gore in "Game Of Thrones", a hugely popular fantasy show inspired by novelist George R.R. Martin's bestselling series, with his acting prowess.

He had made the viewers laugh with his wit, made them cherish the bonds he fostered during his journey in the show, brought tears to the eyes of many viewers when he was accused of murdering his nephew Joffrey and when he gave a touching speech about his father Tywin framing him because he was ashamed of having a dwarf as his son.

Dinklage added that he will always be partial towards the show which has given him a once-in-a-lifetime role, which won him both an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

The trait he loves about the character is that he is tough and a fighter. "A lot of these characters, they come and go. The Lannisters though, they're survivors," he said.

The show is a dramatic telling of a story of two families vying for a throne.
