I want to play Rekha's role from 'Khoon Bhari Maang': Sonakshi

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has made a mark for herself in Bollywood with movies like "Dabangg" and "Rowdy Rathore", says she wants to play legendary actress Rekha's role from her 1988-released film "Khoon Bhari Maang".

Sonakshi also says that it would be amazing to remake the film now.

"Rekha's character in 'Khoon Bhari Maang' is one role which I would like to play. It would be amazing to remake it now. It's like a girl taking revenge and it's not negative though," Sonakshi told IANS.

Directed by Rakesh Roshan, "Khoon Bhari Maang" was the story of a woman who takes revenge on her husband for trying to kill her. The film also featured Kabir Bedi, and Sonakshi's father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha.

The actress says she is ready to experiment with her roles if she believes in it.

"If a role comes to me and if I believe that I would be comfortable portraying, I would love to do it. My father started off with a negative role and then he became a hero so why not. I would like to do something like that but I should like the script," she said.
