Actor Idris Elba is said to have split from his longtime girlfriend Naiyana Garth.
According to a source, Elba, 43, has decided to move out of the London home that he shared with the make-up artist and their son Winston, reports dailymail.co.uk.
He has now moved into a nearby apartment to remain close to his 22-month-old child.
"They've kept it very quiet... It's very sad that this has happened while Idris is experiencing the highest points of his professional career and they can't celebrate it with each other," The Sun newspaper quoted the source as saying.
The breakup news comes after Elba is enjoying a stellar award season, picking up the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SGAs) and the Evening Standard Film Awards for his role in "Beast of No Nation".
Garth was noticeably absent from his side at the SGAs, where the star was accompanied by his 13-year-old daughter Isan, his child with former wife Dormowa Sherman.
Elba and Garth began dating in early 2013.
News of their separation comes after Elba was spotted enjoying a night out with supermodel Naomi Campbell.
