A vehicle carrying 192 cartons of illegal liquor was seized here and an inter-state bootlegger arrested, police said on Friday.
The seizure and arrest of Surender took place in the Nand Nagri area of east Delhi on Wednesday, during an ongoing surprise checking drive in the border areas.
"Surender, a resident of Kananda village in Haryana's Bahadurgarh, used to work as a driver. He started this trade to fulfil his need for easy money," said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Northeast, Atul Kumar Thakur.
