India's Karman Kaur Thandi dispatched Chinese Taipei's Huan Hsiang-Wen 6-4, 6-2 in the women's singles final to clinch the Under-16 2014 WTA Future Stars event at the Kallang Tennis Centre here Monday.
Thandi, who defeated Indonesia's Rifanty Khafiany 6-1, 7-5 in the semi-final, brushed off some early nerves before prevailing 6-4 in the first set while she dominated the second set 6-2 to register a second victory over Huan.
During the tournament, the Indian won all five matches in her group in straight sets.
The event was played alongside the World Tennis Association (WTA) finals, featuring the world's top eight singles players and eight doubles pairs here.
