India claimed five silver and as many bronze medals at the 1st Wushu Sanda Asian Cup which concluded here on Sunday.
India coach Rajvir Singh had predicted a superb performance before the start of the tournament and his wards did him proud with each one of them returning with a medal.
Among the men, Praveen (48 kilogram), Mukesh Chaoudhary (70kg) and Rajender Singh (90 kg) bagged silver medals while Uchit Sharma (52kg) and L. Budhdhachandra Singh (56kg) had to be content with bronze.
Arunpama Devi (60kg) and Vishakhaptnam Malik (70kg) were the silver medallists among the women while Rajani Deori (75kg), Y. Sanathoi Devi (52kg) and Pooja Kadian (65kg) got a bronze each.
