An Indian worker in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been jailed for three months for kissing a housewife inside a building, media reported Tuesday.
The Indian worker, identified by his initials H.R., 24, followed the 27-year-old Filipina housewife, who was walking back to her residence, and then stopped her at the first floor on the stairway and kissed her against her will in July last year.
The Dubai Court of First Instance convicted H.R. of molesting the housewife, Gulf News reported.
The defendant, however, denied the charge of molesting the woman. Prosecutors said the accused kissed the housewife three times.
"The defendant will be deported following the completion of his punishment," presiding judge Mohammad Jamal quoted as saying in court Tuesday.
