The Indonesian badminton contingent has set a target of winning the 29th Thomas Cup and finishing among the top six at the 26th Uber Cup in Jiangsu, China this month, a minister said here on Tuesday.
"On Thomas Cup, we expect to bring home the trophy. On Uber Cup, top six is good," said Imam Nahrawi, Indonesian Youth and Sport Minister.
The Indonesian badminton team will leave for China on Wednesday, reports Xinhua.
China, Japan and India are the toughest opponents for Indonesia in the tournament that will be held in Kunshan Sport Center, said Nahrawi.
Indonesia has 13 Thomas Cup titles and three Uber Cup championships.
