Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday said that self-defence training should be included in school curriculum and directed Chief Secretary M.M. Kutty to coordinate with authorities for its implementation.
He made the direction during a review meeting on law and order attended by the Chief Secretary, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik, among other officers.
On various community policing programmes by Delhi Police like YUVA, Mitra, and Pehchan, Baijal said that a third-party evaluation of all such measures should be done for modifications and improvement.
The Lt. Governor also said that use of technology should be maximised to ensure smooth functioning of CCTVs as well as analysis of data related to crime.
