The Inter-State Council convenes here on Saturday after a gap of almost 10 years to discuss the recommendations of the Punchhi Commission on centre-state relations, use of Aadhaar as an identifier, and other issues.
It's the 11th meeting of the council and will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said an official statement.
Union ministers and chief ministers of all states will attend the meeting.
Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for providing subsidies, benefits and public services and improving quality of school education with focus on improving learning outcomes, incentivising better performance, and internal security are some of the other issues likely to be discussed by the council.
The 10th meeting of the Inter-State Council was held here on December 9, 2006.
