International experts will discuss engineering sciences concepts such as smart homes, microwave, data mining and other emerging concepts in areas of computing, communication and manufacturing at a conference here, organisers said Wednesday.
The first International Conference on Computing, Communication and Manufacturing (ICCCM - 2014) will be held Dec 22 and 23 at the MCKV Institute of Engineering campus in Howrah.
"These three areas of engineering are distinct from one another. The objective will be to discuss the cutting-edge research with a view to adopt these technologies for the future," the institute's principal, Parasar Bandyopadhyay, told IANS.
Experts in these domains from India, the US, Canada and New Zealand will enlighten researchers and students on the latest information and offer insights into the future.
Some of the eminent speakers include Iswar K. Puri, dean and professor, Faculty of Engineering, McMaster University, Canada, and Subhash Mukhopadhyay, professor of sensing technology, Massey University (Turitea), New Zealand.
There will be as many as 10 technical sessions and several special lectures centred on sensing technologies, data mining, image processing, power electronics and so on.
As many as 50 papers will be presented in disciplines such as computational techniques, computer science, IT, communication, electronic sciences, manufacturing and material science.
"All selected and presented papers will be published in ACEEE (Association of Computer Electronics and Electrical Engineers) journal conference proceedings," he said.
