The fourth International Tourism Mart (ITM) would be held in Gangtok, Sikkim, from October 14 to 16, the ministry of tourism announced on Wednesday.
Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Mahesh Sharma said in a statement here that international buyers and delegates from 27 countries would participate in this year's mart.
The ITM would showcase the rich tourism potential of the north-eastern states, Sharma said.
The minister added that the number of foreign tourist visits to the north-eastern states during 2014 grew by 39.8 percent, showing a significant improvement over the previous year.
Sharma also said the facility of e-visas have been extended to 113 countries and would increase to 150 countries by March 2016.
