Indian Olympic Committee (IOC) president N. Ramachandran and secretary-general Rajeev Mehta Friday skipped the sports ministry's felicitation of the medal winners of the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Sources told IANS that Ramachandran was out of the country while Mehta skipped the event to avoid questions on his arrest and subsequent release in Glasgow.
Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal told IANS he was keeping a close watch on the IOA and has asked them to furnish a list of the delegates and the expenses incurred during the Glasgow junket.
"We have asked them a list of those who went on junkets. We want transparency in administration. Let them provide us with the list and then we will see what to be done," he said.
