Iran's national football team defeated Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in a FIFA World Cup warm-up match.
In the match held in Sao Paulo in Brazil Sunday, Ehsan Haj-Safi and Reza Ghoochan-nejad scored the goals for Carlos Queiroz's team, reports Xinhua.
Haj-Safi gave Iran the lead in first-half stoppage time. Ghoochan-nejad scored the second goal for Iran in the 54th minute four minutes after captain Javad Nekounam could not convert the penalty kick.
Iran were held to goalless draw by Belarus and a 1-1 draw with Angola in their other World Cup warmup games last month.
Iran has been drawn in Group F along with Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
