Filmmakers from 40 countries including India will participate in the 30th International Film Festival for Children and Youth which will open in Iran's Esfahan city on June 30, it was announced on Thursday.
The one-week event is aimed at discovering and promoting children's talents in arts and cinema and encouraging professional filmmakers to focus on the issues related to children and the youth, Xinhua news agency quoted Press TV as saying.
Germany, France, the Netherlands, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Russia, Denmark, Turkey, Japan, the US, India, Qatar, Bangladesh and Egypt are among the countries attending various categories at the event.
Among the categories to rival, the festival will host a major animation competition, Festival Chairman Alireza Rezadad said.
