Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers are set to launch a new round of expert-level talks on Tehran's nuclear energy programme in Austria's capital Vienna Wednesday, a media report has said.
Hamid Baeidinejad, the director general for political and international affairs at Iran's foreign ministry, said Monday that expert-level talks with the P5+1 group, which comprises Russia, China, France, Britain, the US plus Germany, will be held in Vienna Wednesday and will last until Friday, the Press TV reported Monday.
The delegation from the group of six countries would be led by Stephen Clement, an aide to European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, the report said.
The talks between Iran and the P5+1 group are aimed at reaching a final agreement to fully resolve the decade-old dispute over Tehran's nuclear energy programme.
Iran and the group of six nations inked an interim deal on Tehran's nuclear energy programme in Geneva Nov 24 last year.
The latest round of nuclear negotiations between the two sides were held in Vienna Feb 20.
Following the Vienna talks, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi said that Tehran and the six-nation group had finalised a framework for comprehensive talks to reach a final agreement on Iran's nuclear energy programme.
