Actor Jackie Shroff has wished good luck to Karan Hariharan, son of popular singer Hariharan, for his debut in showbiz as an actor via crime thriller "Missing on a Weekend".
The actor wished the team when he attended the premiere of writer-director Abhishek Jawkar's upcoming film along with other Bollywood celebrities here on Wednesday night.
"I am happy to see Karan, who is a son of legendary singer Hariharan, is making his debut. All the best to him and his team," Jackie said.
In the film, Karan plays the protagonist who after a trip in Goa goes awry, suffers from short-term memory loss.
Karan said: "My heart is beating fast. I am scared, nervous but cannot wait to see the reaction...I started dreaming about being an actor at an age of four. When I see the poster of my film, I feel like this is the first step I've taken to fulfil my dream. I don't have words to express."
"Missing On A Weekend" also stars Pavan Malhotra, Dishank Arora among others. The film is presented by the Red Bulb Studios and Adept Films. The film is slated to release on August 26.
Jawkar shared: "I couldn't have asked for better than this film, from actor to technicians we have given all to this film. We hope for the best, the film is a good thriller, songs, suspense and it is a full entertainment."
About his next directorial, Jawkar said: "My next film is a women centric. We will be speaking about that after (August) 26."
