Former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra, sentenced to five years in jail in the fodder scam, was Friday granted provisional bail of two months by the Jharkhand High Court on medical grounds.
Mishra, admitted in Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) here for treatment, was sentenced on Oct 3 along with Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad, also a former chief minister.
Former RJD legislator R.K. Rana was also granted bail by the high court.
Hearing on Lalu Prasad's bail petition also took place Friday and will now be heard again Oct 30. He is currently lodged in the Birsa Munda central jail here.
