Four Jamaicans have presented their candidacies for posts in the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) ahead of the elections to be held during the world athletics governing body's Congress in Beijing in August.
Jamaican federation's president Warren Blake and general secretary Garth Gayle aspire to seats on the IAAF council and the IAAF technical committee, respectively, Efe reported on Monday.
Olympic gold-medal-winning hurdler Deon Hemmings-McCatty is running for a seat on the IAAF women's committee, while the Jamaica Olympic Association director Allan Beckford hopes to be elected to the IAAF Cross Country Committee.
Founded in 1912 as the world governing body for track and field, the IAAF is based in Monaco.
