Atletico De Kolkata marquee player and skipper Luis Garcia Friday said the team would play without injured Spanish midfielder Jofre Mateu in the tie against Mumbai City FC Sunday.

"Jofre is a very important player to us, we are going to miss him. He is a big part of the team, but there are other players waiting for their opportunity too, Pody (Jakub Podany), Rafi and I have played quite well in the last few games, but yes we are going to miss him," said the former Liverpool striker at the media conference here.

Garcia also stated that Atletico were unlucky in some games and in a few others they missed chances and did not bag the points.

"We haven't been lucky in some of the games, we missed chances and did not get the points we deserved, at first we surprised many teams with the level of our football. But now the teams know how we play," added Garcia.

Asked if Sourav Ganguly, the ATK team owner and former Indian cricket team captain, gave them advice, the 36-year-old Garcia said: "He has always been supporting us. He gives us confidence, and advice on situations on the games."

The marquee also said the team was now anxious to reach the play-offs and that they just wanted to focus on the next game against Mumbai, win and cross the elusive 20 point margin.

Atletico are presently third in the points table with 18 points from 12 games.
