Actor John Goodman has been roped in to star in filmmaker Rupert Wyatts next film "Captive State".
Wyatt, whose earlier credits include "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and "The Gambler", will direct from a script he co-wrote with his wife, Erica Beeney, reports variety.com.
The plot details of the project are being kept under wraps, but the film will have a sci-fi angle.
Details about Goodman's role are also not known.
Goodman last starred in Dan Trachtenberg's "10 Cloverfield Lane".
He will next appear in "Kong: Skull Island" and "The Coldest City". He is also lending his voice to the next "Transformers" movie, titled "Transformers: The Last Knight", and Luc Besson's "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets".
