The junior Indian women's hockey team lost the third of the six-match Test series 0-5 to hosts New Zealand, who now lead the series 2-0.
The first half saw a defensive game from India at the TET Multisports Centre. However, India slipped away two penalty corners which were successfully converted by Siobhan Nuzum and Su Arn Kwek, giving the hosts a 2-0 lead by the end of the first half.
The 'Black Sticks' were in an attacking mood from the beginning and held India back from opening their goal account.
Repeated efforts from the visitors to open their account and restrict the opponents were in vain as New Zealand went on to penetrate the Indian D and sliced in three more goals in the second half to take the tally to 5-0.
The next match of the series will be played Sunday.
