Former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's Twitter account will remain active, maintained by his fans.
Kalam, who died on Monday, tweeted from the handle @APJAbdulKalam. The handle remains the same, but under the name "In memory of Dr. Kalam".
The bio of the handle on Tuesday read: "Dedicated to the memories of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (1931-2015)", and under the space for place, it says "In the hearts of Indians".
Kalam's advisor Srijan Pal Singh tweeted that the account will be dedicated to the former president's memories.
"Dedicated 2 immortal memories of Dr Kalam. this account wil nw reflect his thoughts, his lessons & missions. Miss you sir," he tweeted from his handle @srijanpalsingh.
Kalam's official handle till Monday described him as "Scientist, teacher, learner and writer. Served as the 11th President of India (2002-07). Working for an economically developed nation by 2020."
