BJP workers in Karnataka Friday burst fire crackers and took out a two-wheeler rally here and other parts of the state to greet the party nominating Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as its prime ministerial candidate.
The Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and workers who had gathered at the party office in south Bangalore raised slogans in praise of Modi as soon his nomination was announced in New Delhi.
They burst fire crackers and took out a rally on two wheelers in the city waving the party flag.
Celebrations were held by BJP workers and supporters in many parts of the state including Hubli-Dharwad and Bellary in north, Mysore in the south and Mangalore on west coast.
