Kate Beckinsale's no alcohol rule

Actress Kate Beckinsale says that she has never had more than a sip of alcohol because she fears it will go to her head too quickly.

In an interview to Shape magazine, the 43-year-old, who has 17-year-old daughter Lily with her former partner Michael Sheen, admitted that she doesn't drink, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

She said: "I don't drink alcohol. I feel (it effects) very quickly, so I've never actually had an entire glass of anything alcoholic."

The "Underworld: Blood Wars" star has revealed that she lives a healthy lifestyle and works out most mornings.

She said: "I basically wake up, eat breakfast, and then work out. I prefer to get it done in the morning. That said I don't naturally get up early. It would be much better for me if the entire world went to bed at 4 a.m. and woke up at noon. But it doesn't so, I'm usually staggering around first thing."
