Singer Katy Perry dedicated a song to Mariah Carey and showered her with praise while performing at New York Fashion Week party.
"Mariah! This one's dedicated to you my lovely lady," Perry said to Carey, who was among attendees at the star-studded bash earlier this week, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"You paved the way for so many of us. Now you can just enjoy yourself," she continued before launching into a rendition of her hit single "I kissed a girl".
Carey later thanked Perry on Twitter where she shared a photograph taken when the 30-year-old was on the stage. "Your performance was wonderful," Carey tweeted.
During her appearance at the party, Perry also played some of her other biggest hits, including "Roar", "Teenage Dream" and "Dark Horse". She closed out her 20-minute set with "Firework" which she dedicated to assistants working behind-the-scenes during the fashion week.
