Singer Katy Perry has been named the most followed user on Twitter.
The "Roar" hitmaker reached 90 million followers on the micro-blogging site, becoming the first person in this entire planet to do so, on Friday, reports aceshowbiz.com.
Her new milestone was announced by Twitter, which posted a photograph of the 31-year-old singer.
The image was captioned: "It's party time, Katy Perry! With 90 million on the guest list, we are going to need a really big dance floor".
In response to the tweet, Perry retweeted the message and wrote, "Dang this is tight."
Perry joined Twitter in 2009. Singers Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift are the second and the third-most followed people on Twitter with 83.8 million and 79 million followers respectively.
