Kazakhstan elected to Unesco World Heritage Committee

Kazakhstan has been elected to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation's (Unesco) 21-member World Heritage Committee, Xinhua reported Thursday.
Currently, three Kazakh cultural and natural heritages -- the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yassaui, Petroglyphs within the Archaeological Landscape of Tamgaly and Korgalzhyn & Nauryzumsky reserves -- are on the Unesco's World Heritage List.
