Kazmi alleges people barged into house, abused wife

Journalist Syed Mohammad Kazmi, accused in the 2012 Israeli embassy car blast case, on Monday alleged that some people barged into his house, abused his wife, called her anti-national and asked her to leave the country.

Kazmi's son Turab Ali Kazmi lodged a complaint against unidentified people at Lodhi Colony police station.

Kazmi's son said that around 7.30 p.m., seven-eight people barged into his house in Jorbagh area and demolished a boundary wall.

They also labelled his mother as an anti-national person who had no right to live in the country.

Kazmi said his family was feeling unsafe and insecure after the incident and demanded immediate action against the culprits.

Kazmi was charged under various provisions of the anti-terror law, Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, and the penal provision for attempt to murder, among others in the 2012 Israeli embassy car blast case. He is out on bail.

Four people were injured when an Israeli embassy car was hit by a bomb near the prime minister's residence.

Tal Yehoshua Koren, 42, wife of Israeli defence attache Colonel Yossi Refaelov, suffered multiple injuries when a motorcycle rider attached a magnetic explosive device to her car and sped away.
