Kerala artist Madhusudhanan, who is featuring in the ongoing second edition of the Kochi Muziris Biennale (KMB), has been selected for the upcoming Okwui Enwezor curated Venice Biennale 2015.
Enwezor selected Madhusudhanan for the Venice Biennale after coming across his work at KMB 2014, which was curated by Jitish Kallat.
"It is going to be a great experience. I can show my work in the Venice Biennale, where top names from contemporary art will be showing their work," said the Delhi-based Madhusudhanan.
His exhibit at KMB 2014 - "Logic of Disappearance" - is a collection of 90 charcoal drawings, which is a complex landscape of memory, triggering flashbacks of an era gone by.
Bose Krishnamachari, director of KMB 2014, said Madhusudhanan would take the 90 drawings along with 70 new ones to the Venice Biennale.
The Venice Biennale is the most coveted international art event.
