CPI-M leader Pinarayi Vijayan said on Thursday that Kerala's next chief minister will be picked by the victorious Left Democratic Front (LDF).
Asked if he would be the state's new chief minister, Vijayan told NDTV channel in Kannur: "That will be decided by the party (CPI-M) and the LDF (Left Democratic Front)."
As widely anticipated, the LDF was set to return to power in Kerala, defeating the Congress-led United Democratic Front in assembly elections held three days ago.
