Singer Kian Egan, former member of Westlife band, has begun work on his debut solo album and says he's "excited".
"I am incredibly excited to be recording an album with Warner Music," digitalspy.co.uk quoted Egan as saying.
"Music is my first love, and to be able to get in the studio to record these amazing songs by such wonderful writers is such a thrill and an honour for me," he added.
He plans to complete the album in next few weeks as and release it March 17.
In addition to his new solo album, Egan is also one of the judges on "The Voice of Ireland".
