Kidnapped Pakistani woman found hanging from a tree

A woman who was kidnapped in Pakistan's Punjab province was found Friday hanging from a tree, an official said.

According to the official, the woman was murdered and hanged from a tree in Punjab's Layyah region, Dawn online reported.

The victim's identity has not been disclosed.

A Pakistani human rights activist said this was a barbaric act which reflected that Pakistani men were mentally ill. People think that they can easily get away with such acts without being punished which gave them the courage to pursue such acts.
