All roads led to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Sunday for the Indian Super League (ISL) football final between hosts Kerala Blasters and former champions Atletico de Kolkata (ATK) as supporters poured in two hours before kick-off here.
Such was the frenzy that police had to wield their batons to disperse the crowd of Kerala fans in front of the team bus.
Meanwhile, home co-owner Sachin Tendulkar got a rousing reception on arriving at the venue which was bathed in a sea of yellow, the home jersey colours of Kerala.
Kerala and ATK are clashing in their second final after having locked horns in the summit clash of the inaugural edition in 2014.
ATK won the title in 2014 and the yellow brigade would be looking to take revenge at home this time.
