A 17-year-old school boy here was found hanging from the ceiling at his home Wednesday. His family members alleged he was "tortured" by his teachers, police said.
"Sunil Kumar Gupta, a class 9 student of Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith, was found hanging at his residence. His family members have filed a complaint against two teachers," a police officer said.
The victim's brother said that Gupta was Tuesday scolded by his teachers and sent back home for assaulting his classmates.
"The teachers used to torture him. Yesterday (Tuesday), they badly scolded him and drove him out of the school for beating up another student. But my brother insisted he did not beat up anybody. The teachers had made a guardian call and I was supposed to accompany him to the school," said the brother.
