LA Galaxy are close to securing former Boca Juniors manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto as their head coach, according to reports.
The 45-year-old has been given until the weekend to accept an offer from the Major League Soccer side, Argentina's Ole newspaper said on Wednesday, reports Xinhua news agency.
The Galaxy have been searching for a new manager since October, when Dominic Kinnear departed after the team missed the play-offs for the second straight season.
Kinnear had assumed the role on an interim basis following the September sacking of Sigi Schmid.
Barros Schelotto parted ways with Boca Juniors after their loss to Buenos Aires rivals River Plate in the Copa Libertadores final earlier this month.
The Argentine, who won three Copa Libertadores as a player, had coached the team since mid-2016 and was contracted until December 31.
