Lata Mangeshkar praises talent of 'Indian Idol Junior'

Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar has praised the talent of singing reality TV show "Indian Idol Junior".

The 85-year-old Bharat Ratna, who is also called the 'Nightingale of India' for her melodious voice, took to Twitter on Sunday to share her views after watching the contestants of the show and the three judges -- Vishal Dadlani, Salim Merchant and Shalmali Kholgade.

"Namaskar. Main abhi 'Indian Idol Junior' ye show dekh rahi thi. Vishal Dadlani,Salim Merchant aur Shalmali Kholgade ye teeno judges bohot acche tarike se baccho ko sunte hai aur advice dete hai. Sabhi bacche bohot accha gate hai ,aaj maine ek ladki ko suna Niharika, usne Sonu ka gana gaya, bohot hi accha gaya, uski taan sunder aur saaf thi, jise sunke mujhe bohot accha laga. Main usey aashirwad deti hun ki wo jeevan me yashasvi ho," she tweeted.

The tweet translates to: "Greetings. I was watching 'Indian Idol Junior' and I must really commend the three judges Vishal Dadlani, Salim Merchant and Shalmali Kholgade, they are doing a good job. They listen to the contestants very carefully and give them good advice.

"All the children are singing nicely. I am impressed by their singing talent. I just listened a girl named Niharika. She sang really now. I hope she will have a bright future ahead."

Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha will soon be seen as the fourth judge of the reality show, which is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.
