LFW: Shivan & Narresh's resort line a colourful bouquet

Think resort fashion and brand Shivan & Narresh is one of the first that strikes the mind. The designer duo did not disappoint, presenting a colourful bouquet of cruise and resort styles at Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2015 here.

The fifth day of the fashion gala at Hotel Palladium here on Sunday broke the monotony by organizing the show at the poolside areawhere fashionistas gathered to view the collection of one of the country's top swim and cruise wear designers.

Shivan & Narresh's collection titled "Henri's Garden" took its inspiration from French artist, Henri Rousseau and his visuals of visits to botanical gardens on canvas.

The mix of cruise, resort and jewelled swimwear was highlighted by the brand's signature cut-outs that were stragically placed on the garments. The colours varied from soft saffron, ivory, yolk yellow and nude hues on fabrics that were dominated by neoprene, stretch, and soft materials.

Their statement prints, which were inspired by Rousseau's canvases, appeared throughout the collection that comprised of trikinis, bikinis, maillots, wetsuits, resort wear, kaftans, rompers and jumpsuits.

For those who wanted something that would be more formal, there were innovative lehengas, saris, palazzos, bikini and resort saris with maillots and cruise gowns.
