Addis Ababa, April 19 (IANS) Lifan Motors, a Chinese auto company, has awarded a Lifan model 620 automobile to Sewunet Bishaw, the coach of the Ethiopian national soccer team.
At a ceremony held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital, Thursday, Tian Jie, deputy general manager of Lifan Ethiopia, handed over the keys and the car to the coach who was successful in taking Ethiopia's national football club to the 2013 African Cup of Nations after 31 years, reports Xinhua.
Speaking on the occasion, Tian noted that Lifan's award to the coach is for his endeavour to get the soccer team's tour to the African Cup of Nations held in South Africa in January. Tian also noted that it is part of Lifan's contribution of social responsibility to the Ethiopian society.
