Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) parliamentarian Rama Singh has resigned from all party posts, claiming there was "no internal democracy" in Ram Vilas Paswan's party.

The move comes as LJP sulks over seat-sharing in the NDA ahead of Bihar assembly elections.

Rama Singh, who quit all party posts late Tuesday night, is likely to resign from the primary membership of the LJP soon.

Three days ago, Singh expressed unhappiness that he was sidelined during seat-sharing among National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parties for the five-phase Bihar assembly polls.

Singh questioned the way he was not involved in the finalisation of seat-sharing arrangement.

He cautioned the LJP that ignoring senior and experienced leaders like him would cost it dear in the assembly elections.

According to LJP leaders here, Singh was upset after he was not consulted by union Minister and LJP supremo Paswan before finalising seat-sharing with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"Singh was keen to field his wife on an LJP ticket but was denied the same. After that, he has been playing pressure politics," a leader said.

The BJP-led NDA formally announced the seat-sharing arrangement on Saturday. The BJP will contest 160 of the 243 assembly seats, LJP 40 seats, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party 23 seats and Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha 20 seats.
