The Lok Sabha on Friday complimented scientists of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the successful launch of the seventh navigation satellite, which will lead to the country getting its own satellite navigation system.

As soon as the house assembled for the day's proceedings, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said: "With this launch, India would successfully establish its own satellite navigation system.

"We are extremely proud of this accomplishment by our space scientists. The house conveys its congratulations to the scientists and technologists of the Indian Space Research Organisation and wishes them success in all their future endeavours," she said.
