Hasina Parker, the elder sister of absconding mafia don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar, died in a private hospital following a massive cardiac arrest, officials said here Sunday.
She was admitted to Habib Hospital, Nagpada, in south Mumbai Saturday night following severe chest pain and breathed her last Sunday afternoon.
Hasina Parker shot into the limelight after some rival mafia gangsters led by Arun Gawli gunned down her husband Ismail Parker in a gang-war in 1991.
This led to a spate of brutal retaliatory killings from the Dawood gang at that time.
Subsequently, Hasina Parker was reportedly acting as the don's Mumbai business head.
Though officially she was not directly implicated in any underworld activities, it is believed that in parts of south Mumbai, nothing moved without her nod.
A few years ago, she lost her son Danish in a road accident. She has a daughter whose whereabouts are not known.
