Port-of-Spain (Trinidad), Aug 28 (IANS/CMC) Shoaib Malik of the Barbados Tridents and Krishmar Santokie of the Guyana Amazon Warriors finished as the top runscorers and wicket-takers of the inaugural Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Malik tallied 272 runs in eight games to edge Guyana's Lendl Simmons (266 runs) and St Lucia Zouks' Andre Fletcher (238 runs) for the top spot, reports CMC.
Santokie, who was named man-of-the-series , finished with 16 wickets from his nine games, ahead of Shakib Al Hasan of the Tridents (11 wkts).
All-rounder Andre Russell of the Jamaica Tallawahs hit the most sixes (16) and highest strike rate among batsmen with over 100 runs while Tridents skipper Kieron Pollard had the most catches 14.
Tallawahs, captained by Chris Gayle defeated Amazon Warriors by seven wickets to win the tournament on Saturday.
