West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Monday called on veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani at his residence here, setting off a buzz in political circles.
According to Bengal government sources, the Trinamool Congress supremo also met Advani's ailing wife Kamala.
Banerjee attended an event celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru in New Delhi Monday.
The Congress is organising this two-day international conference to resurrect Nehru's legacy at a trying time for the party.
