A 26-year-old man, accused of killing a senior forest officer and his guard in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested here with a pistol, police said Saturday.
Amjad Khan, from Panna in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested Friday night near Tau Devi Lal stadium by the Gurgaon crime branch. He was produced before a court Saturday and was sent to 14 days judicial custody.
"Amjad Khan came to Gurgaon to kill his former friend," crime branch chief Yashwant Singh told IANS.
Amjad Khan's friends Anmol and Bablu wanted to kill the forest officer and asked Amjad Khan to help them. He killed the officer in his house July 10. The two men promised Amjad Khan that in turn they will help him in killing a man named Naresh Kumar in Gurgaon, police said.
"Naresh Kumar eloped with Amjad Khan's wife from Panna a few months ago," said the crime branch chief.
