PSV Eindhoven presented new signing Karim Rekik Wednesday with the 18-year-old Manchester City defender arriving on a season-long loan.
"I will do everything to help PSV win the league title," Rekik told PSV TV. "In addition, I want to become a better player."
Rekik moved from the Feyenoord academy to Manchester City at the age of 16 in 2011. He made his official first team debut for the English football club in September that year against Birmingham City in the third round of the League Cup, reports Xinhua.
In March 2012, Rekik was loaned to Championship club Portsmouth. After he returned to City he debuted in the Premier League in December 2012 against Reading in so far his only Premier League match. From February until the end of the 2012/2013 season Rekik was loaned to Championship team Blackburn Rovers.
