Man pours acid on wife's private parts for refusing sex

In a case of cruelty, a man poured acid on the private parts of his wife after she refused to have sex with him in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district, police said on Tuesday.

The incident happened in Behrin village of Tirva in Kannauj district.

Station House Officer (SHO) Amar Pal Singh said a case has been lodged against the husband for victimizing and assaulting his wife and he would be arrested soon.

The woman, a mother of two, has been admitted to the district hospital with serious injuries.

The police lodged a case after the woman lodged a complaint.

A case has also been lodged against three others who reportedly abetted the crime.

Father of the victim, Kedar Singh, said his daughter had told him that her husband, Vedpal, and his elder brother, Ajay Kumar, and his wife were torturing her for a long time.

The victim had refused to stay at her husband's house, and when he tried to have sex with her, she refused.

All the accused are on the run.
