A five-year-old girl was raped here by her neighbour after taking her to a secluded spot on the pretext of offering her eatables, police said Sunday. The attacker has been arrested.
Hemraj, 20, raped the girl Saturday evening in west Delhi's Ranhola area, police said.
"Hemraj took the girl from outside her home to a secluded place on the pretext of offering her eatables," said a police officer.
"After committing the crime the accused fled from the spot. The victim's family members informed police about the incident around 11.30 p.m. when they found her in an unconscious state," said the police officer.
The attacker was arrested Sunday morning from Ranhola area after the girl's medical report confirmed rape, police said.
